More on the $65 million pants lawsuit

It seems that this case has really touched a nerve with people. Here's an unpublished Virginia Court of Appeals opinion in which Roy Pearson represented himself in a divorce proceeding. The opinion sets out some troubling facts: Pearson filed 3 motions for sanctions and 248 requests for admission. The trial court found that Pearson "was substantially responsible for 'excessive driving up' of the legal costs by 'threatening both wife and her lawyer with disbarment [sic],' and creating unnecessary litigation."
