Contractor fraud nets jail time, plus hefty restitution

Judge Thomas Hoover provided a contractor an opportunity to reduce his jail time if he makes full restitution prior to June 18, 2007. Such an arrangement is not unusual, and benefits the victims as well. Otherwise, restitution for such matters can drag on for years. Here, the contractor must come up with $78,000, and he still will spend a couple years in jail.
