Statute permitting removal of cases to Circuit Court is repealed

Virginia Lawyers Weekly noted this change, but it does not have a web link. However, the General Assembly site notes that Va. Code Ann. 16.1-92 has been repealed. Therefore, cases filed in the General District court must be tried, then appealed, a defendant may no longer remove the case to Circuit Court prior to trial.
